Bunch Projects

Regional facilities built for capacity, labour flexibility, and field readiness

Fabrication and service locations across Alberta — Rocky Mountain House, Grande Prairie, and Penhold.

Facilities Overview

Bunch locates shops across Alberta to support project execution, regional labour access, schedule flexibility, and field mobilization. This footprint helps reduce the impact of local labour constraints and allows work to move through the facility best suited to the scope.

Together, the facilities support structural steel, pressure piping, fiberglass/FRP piping, vessels, modular assembly, electrical and instrumentation, insulation, quality control, project management, and field construction.

Duvernay & Deep Basin Hub

Rocky Mountain House / Clearwater

The Clearwater facility is the operational heart of Bunch. Located on a 170-acre site, the facility includes more than 100,000 square feet of covered space across multiple buildings and supports project management, vessels/firetubes, pressure piping, structural steel, vessels, electrical and instrumentation, insulation, quality control, and field operations.

A key advantage of the Clearwater site is its 30-acre integrated mod yard, co-located directly with fabrication. This allows shop fabrication, staging, testing, coating, and module assembly to be performed from one location. By keeping fabrication and modular assembly together, Bunch can reduce handling, improve sequencing, and move large pipe rack modules efficiently toward completion.

The Clearwater facility also houses significant structural steel automation, including automated beam processing, drilling, plasma cutting, and Fanuc robotic welding cells used for structural steel processing and welding. These investments support improved productivity, repeatability, and fit-up accuracy for structural steel, modules, skids, pipe racks, platforms, walkways, landings, and other industrial assemblies.

Montney Hub

Grande Prairie

The Grande Prairie facility extends Bunch's fabrication and field support capacity in northern Alberta and northeastern British Columbia. The 33,000-square-foot shop supports pressure piping, structural steel, modular assembly, field construction, and regional client responsiveness.

Grande Prairie strengthens Bunch's ability to access regional labour, reduce mobilization pressure, and support projects in northern operating areas. The facility includes automated pipe profiling capability through an Enerweld system, significantly improving productivity, cut accuracy, and repeatability. The Grande Prairie shop also supports Miller's Regulated Metal Deposition (RMD) process, helping improve weld quality, consistency, and productivity on pressure piping fabrication.

Central Alberta

Penhold

The Penhold facility expands Bunch's pipe fabrication capacity in central Alberta. Located near Red Deer, this shop supports high-volume pressure piping, pressure vessels, small-bore spools, light structural support, and regional project execution.

Penhold is focused on wire-feed welding processes and includes high-deposition Submerged Arc Welding (SAW) capabilities and Miller's Regulated Metal Deposition (RMD) process, making it well suited for high-productivity fabrication across all pipe diameters. The facility also includes an automated HGG SPC 500 profiler, significantly improving productivity, cut accuracy, and repeatability.
